The Adamson Fletcher Machine offers very simple and super efficient sound spatialization tools. It provides the highest degree of versatility and can be used in various loudspeaker environments, from simple to complex setups, in small or large scale venues, installations or touring, amusement parks and museums.
The Fletcher Machine was developed with both sound engineering and artistic emotion in mind, and with a no compromise focus on audio quality. Pure and pristine sound with no audible artifacts is delivered. This makes the Fletcher Machine the first choice in any immersive application, even for the most demanding environments.
The Fletcher Machine is available as a 3U 19" rack unit, with a 5" color touchscreen, allowing for IP address change, levels control and other various quick checks.
And for those who like to travel light, we made the Traveler model.
As a standalone Windows and MacOS application.
The Fletcher Machine is being developed by musicians and sound engineers with a high degree of knowledge and concern for the needs in real life situations. It benefits from a genuine development where sound spatialization relies on both amplitude and delay differences. Signals that are send to the loudspeakers are calculated from the objects point of view, ensuring the best spatial coherence for the listeners. The Fletcher Machine offers a complete set of OSC (Open Sound Control) and MIDI integrations, so it can be externally controlled by a mixing desk using a dedicated plugin (under development), Real Time Tracking System, or any other interface using these protocols.
The sound objects are perceived at their correct position in azimuth and depth wherever you are in the listening area.
The Fletcher Machine offers a high degree of sound source unmasking. The music becomes easier to mix and needs less EQ and dynamic processing.
The Core Engine of the Fletcher Machine offers an entirely newly developed reverb engine that allows for creating astonishing effects and beautiful acoustic spaces.
Your project evolving: frontal stages, front fills, surround loudspeakers, a 3D dome with elevation speakers, delay lines under balconies, a central stage. The Fletcher Machine is your preferred choice, as it brings a simple and coherent approach to all circumstances.
With the Fletcher Machine, you can spatialize the low end. This allows for adjustable coverage with very limited loss of impact. You can instantly modify the sound and coverage of each object.
Minimum delay: The smallest object to output delay value is subtracted from all delay values, retaining relative offsets and minimizing overall latency.
Full Delay: The time-of-flight from the object to the output is taken into account.
No delay: Distance based amplitude panning.
Direct routing of any object to any output is also available.
Object movements can be created internally using really simple, fast and highly efficient tools; trajectories that can be individually recalled and/or jittering around an object's position, all synchronized on tempo.
Interfacing with a mixing desk and/or DAW is just as easy as turning a knob for snapshot recall and parameter automation. Dedicated VST, AU plugins available.
TTA Stage Tracker and Cast BlackTrax have already been interfaced with the Fletcher Machine, allowing for automatic position tracking. More systems will interface with AFM in the near future.
The Fletcher Machine comprises a calculation core and a Remote control software. The Remote is available for Windows 10 and 11, MacOSX including Big Sur running on M1 platforms.
The hardware core engine is available as a 3U 19" rack unit (Stage) or a small form factor unit (Traveller). Both are available with a Dante or an AVB/MADI interface.
The rear of the Stage model is equipped with a complete set of reliable, high quality connectors.

The Fletcher Machine offers a user friendly interface, that was thought of much like a mixing desk. Object positioning is facilitated with a touchscreen based interface. It includes an easy to use yet complete set of mixing functionalities, including object Eq, compressor, auxiliary sends, adjustable distance attenuation and atmospheric absorption, easy to set, synchronize and recall individual trajectories, continuous or discrete position jitter, object grouping and functions linking, 8 VCA-style faders, up to 10 loudspeaker layers (depending on version), loudspeaker positioning in 3 dimensions with Blueprint import, output Eq, delay, crossover and many more.
